New rumors circulating around the automotive industry claim that BMW could be gearing up to launch a new quadro-diesel engine in 2016. According to a variety of news sources, the engine has been codenamed 'B57 TO'’ and is slated to arrive on the incoming BMW 750d; however, it is expected to eventually be offered on other BMW models in the lineup.

Recent reports circulating around automotive industry suggest that BMW could be creating a hydrogen fuel-cell electric car that is likely to hit the market by 2020. With the launch of the i sub-brand, which is currently made up of the BMW i3 electric car and i8 plug-in hybrid, it's very likely BMW could be adding a fuel-cell car to the mix that would take the German brand to the next level.
