When we first introduced you to the new BMW 7-Series back in April of last year, we mentioned the 2016 model would come equipped with a series of innovative technology, including a new remote parking feature.

Mirrorless cars are the future, and if you’re not willing to take my word for it, just take a look at BMW’s brand-new Mirrorless i8 concept that debuted at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. Equipped with cameras as mirror replacements, the concept gives us an early look at what we can expect to see on production version luxury models within the next five to ten years.

BMW’s i lineup, which currently consists of the i3 electric car and i8 plug-in hybrid, could soon add an SUV into the fold. According to reports circulating around the auto industry, the automaker may debut a brand-new crossover dubbed the i5, which could be revealed as soon as next year..

It has been a solid three years since the BMW i8 Spyder concept was unveiled to the public, and just recently, BMW finally announced plans to put the car into production. The coupe variant has been at dealerships across America for two years now and we’re excited to see the arrival of its counterpart, the i8 Spyder convertible, at BMW of Springfield in the near future.

At this year’s LA Auto Show, BMW showed off their brand-new limited edition i3 model: Shadow Sport BEV. The all-new model, which will be available in the U.S. for a short time only, features a variety of minor features and amenities that set it apart from the standard i3 model.

Sources in the automotive industry suggest BMW is currently in the process of developing a dual-clutch transmission that may find its way in their brand-new lineup of front-wheel drive models. The introduction of this transmission could help broaden BMW’s customer base and put them in direct competition with other high-end brands already utilizing dual-clutch transmissions.

It's been over a year since BMW confirmed they would be developing an all-new X7 crossover, and as the project continues to gain steam, more rumors have been traveling around regarding its design. The luxury SUV, which will serve as BMW's flagship model, is said to take styling cues from the brand's Vision Future Luxury Concept, a car that originally debuted at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.

Following much anticipation, BMW has finally released information regarding the upcoming 2016 M2 model and it’s nothing shy of impressive. According to the brand, the M2 can complete the famed Nürburgring race course faster than the E92 M3, which is something longtime fans won’t be disappointed by.

BMW recently celebrated the production of 10 million 3 Series Sedans at their facility in Munich, Germany. This milestone achievement was carried out almost 40 years after the first 3 Series rolled off the assembly line and officially took its place on the market.

The days of gasoline-fueled BMW models may be over due to stricter European Union regulations regarding carbon emissions. Forced to abide by the rules which call for a drastic reduction in CO2 emissions, BMW has announced that they will be converting their entire lineup into electric models within a 10-year timespan.
