What's New for the 2026 BMW 7 Series?
The BMW 7 Series is a solid pick in the large luxury sedan class. Since the 7 Series has many salient features to start with, it doesn't need many changes to remain a top choice in 2026. This model year, the 7 Series gets a minor tech update: the option to add a digital key across all trim levels. The 7 Series carries over otherwise with powerful engines, a smooth ride, high-quality materials, and a generous list of standard features.
What Are the 2026 7 Series Trims & Features?
The base model of the 2026 7 Series family is the 740i. This trim level includes leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof with LED lighting, soft-close doors, ambient interior lighting, a heated steering wheel, heated seats, and four-zone climate control. For technology, you'll get a wireless phone charging pad, wireless Android Auto® and Apple CarPlay®, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, navigation, a 12.3-inch digital display, and a separate 14.9-inch touchscreen. This trim's exterior features adaptive LED headlights and 20-inch wheels. Rear-wheel drive is standard.

All-wheel drive is also standard with this trim.
Topping the lineup is the 760i xDrive. This trim level returns to a traditional mechanical configuration, but it is equipped with a turbo V8 engine. All-wheel drive is standard with the 760i xDrive. This trim also adds rear-axle steering, and ventilated front seats with a massaging function and heated armrests.
