2022 BMW X2 Exterior

What's New for the 2022 BMW X2?

The 2022 BMW X2 has a few minor styling changes from 2021. Otherwise, it is essentially unchanged aesthetically and in the area of performance. The 2022 X2 is made in three trim levels, with some variation in power and performance among the trims. While the first trim has many standard amenities, even more features are added to the second and third trims. The top trim has a distinctive sporty design, and multiple packages are available to enhance any of the trim levels in the 2022 X2 lineup.

2022 X2 Trims & Features

The 2022 BMW X2 family includes three trim levels. Starting off the lineup is the sDrive 28i, which has many standard items. The basic technology package on the X2 includes a standard 8.8-inch touchscreen display and integrated navigation with real-time traffic information. The base has a seven-speaker sound system and Apple CarPlay. Seating material is made of simulated leather upholstery, and the base trim has a power liftgate for convenience. The mid-level trim has a panoramic sunroof and a keyless ignition and entry system. Its exterior has power-folding mirrors, and you can upgrade to larger wheels and sporty accents for a different appearance. The top trim level, which is the M35i, has those features plus heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. It also adds some performance features including enhanced traction, sport-tuned steering, and a stronger engine. A wireless charging pad and Harman Kardon sound system are optional for all of the trim levels.

A turbo four-cylinder engine powers the base trim level and provides it with 228 HP in maximum power. The M35i is configured with a stronger engine that has a peak power rating of 301 HP. Both engines have an automatic transmission with eight speeds.
