What Are the 2024 5 Series Trims & Features?
The 2024 5 Series comes in three main trims: 530i, 530i xDrive, and 540i xDrive. The 530i trim is exceptionally luxurious, boasting the new BMW Curved Display, which combines a customizable 12.3-inch instrument cluster with a 14.9-inch infotainment screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto facilitate easy smartphone connectivity. Additional features include a Harman Kardon premium audio system, voice commands, wireless device charging, and a moonroof.
A wide array of high-end options is available. For the first time, the 5 Series includes the AirConsole app, which allows passengers to play video games on the infotainment display. Other available features include a head-up display, climate-controlled front seats, and Gesture Control technology.
The 540i xDrive trim offers similar equipment but comes with a more powerful engine.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2024 5 Series Have?
The 530i and 530i xDrive trims are powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, now producing 255 horsepower. An eight-speed automatic transmission ensures smooth power delivery. The 540i xDrive trim features a 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six engine with an increased output of 375 horsepower, providing impressive acceleration. The 530i trim has rear-wheel drive, while the available xDrive AWD system enhances traction on slippery roads. For improved handling, the optional M Sport suspension is recommended.
What Safety Features Does the 2024 5 Series Include?
Active Driving Assistant provides the new 5 Series with an array of standard safety technologies, including Frontal Collision Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, and Lane Departure Warning. BMW Assist eCall, equipped with an SOS button, allows you to contact emergency services at any time.
