The 2021 BMW 7 Series carries over primarily unchanged from the 2020 model year with some minor upgrades on style. The BMW 7 Series continues to retain its top ranking among large luxury sedans. Its powerful mechanical configuration includes your choice of several strong engines, including a hybrid engine and a turbo-powered engine with 12 cylinders. 2021 7 Series Trims & Features
Five trims are available for the 2021 BMW 7 Series. The first two trims, the 740i and the 740i xDrive, hold many similarities in their features. The 740i xDrive differs in its drivetrain configuration, offering all-wheel drive as standard. The 740i comes with LED headlights on the outside for illumination. Its interior features a digital instrument cluster display and a large 10.25-inch infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and pairs with your smartphone for seamless integration. The infotainment system also includes navigation. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are standard. The base trim also gets four-zone climate control.
The 745e xDrive iPerformance is a hybrid variant and gets its own set of unique interior features. The 750i xDrive has a more powerful engine, premium leather seats, and a head-up display. Topping the line is the M760i xDrive comes standard with all-wheel drive and gets more amenities, including laminated glass windows, massaging climate-controlled seats, and power-adjustable rear seats.

2021 BMW 7 Series Horsepower
The base engine for the 7 Series, a 3.0L turbocharged six-cylinder engine, is equipped on the 740i and 740i xDrive. This engine produces 335 HP and 330 LB-FT of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard. The turbocharged hybrid engine, also a 3.0L six-cylinder engine, delivers 389 HP and is configured with all-wheel drive as standard. The top engine, exclusive to the M760i xDrive, is a 6.6L turbo with 12 cylinders, producing an impressive power output of 601 HP and 627 LB-Ft of torque. With this engine powering the top-level trim, it can achieve zero to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.
BMW 7 Series Safety
The BMW 7 Series offers strong build quality and plenty of driver assistance features to keep all occupants safe. Standard safety technology on the 2021 7 Series includes parking sensors, a surround-view camera, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and forward collision mitigation, which automatically applies the brakes if a collision appears imminent. These are beneficial in aiding driver awareness to reduce driver fatigue.
