The BMW Group is advancing its footprint in humanoid robotics, assigning its manufacturing facility in Landshut, Germany, to lead key software development efforts for AI-supported robotics in component production. This initiative centers on open software platforms, simulation models, motion planning, and system training protocols. These operations will build upon existing projects underway at Plant Leipzig and Plant Spartanburg.
