The BMW iX is BMW's first electric SUV. It enters the electric SUV market with high ratings, a sleek design, and luxurious interior features. Its great range, agility, and enjoyable driving performance enhance its appeal. While there are no major updates this year, the battery can now be preconditioned independently.
What Are the 2024 iX Trims & Features?
The 2024 BMW iX is available in two models.
The base trim is the xDrive50. It comes with standard all-wheel drive and 20-inch wheels. Features include a power liftgate, a Sky Lounge Panoramic Roof with automatic shade tinting, four-zone climate control, and ambient interior lighting. The front seats are heated and power-adjustable, covered in synthetic leather upholstery. The base model also has a heated steering wheel, a wireless phone charging pad, a 12-speaker sound system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The second trim, the iX M60, offers even more. It features larger 21-inch wheels, adaptive laser headlights, upgraded brakes, and ventilated front seats. The door panels, armrests, and rear seats are heated. The M60 also boasts an upgraded Bowers & Wilkins sound system.
Package features include a head-up display, massaging front seats, a cabin camera, a WiFi hotspot, glass-covered controls, and soft-close doors.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2024 iX Have?
The 2024 iX is equipped with two electric motors and a battery pack. The base model produces up to 516 horsepower and 564 pound-feet of torque, while the top trim delivers 610 horsepower and 749 pound-feet of torque. The electric range varies by trim, with the base model achieving approximately 324 miles on a single charge and the top trim up to 288 miles based on EPA estimates. Both trims feature standard all-wheel drive and DC fast-charging capabilities up to 195 kW.
What Safety Features Does the 2024 iX Include?
The iX comes with parking sensors, lane departure warning, blind-spot warning, and forward collision warning.
