The original BMW E30 M3 is now 30 years and BMW is celebrating this momentous occasion by releasing a new special edition model of the performance car. Based on the Competition package models, the new variant receives more power, fresh badging, an exclusive paint job and upgraded interior materials, commemorating the M3 legacy.

Dressed in a Macao Blue Metallic paint job, a color once included as a special option on the original E30, the incoming special edition M3 is a beautiful piece of machinery. Aside from the unique exterior color, the car gets M gills on the front wings featuring the “30 Years M3” logo, Merino leather interior components, BMW M strips on the seat belts, a numbered plaque and badging on the sills. The twin-turbo engine’s power has also been boosted by 19 horses and now offers 444 horsepower, while new springs, stabilizers and dampers, along with an updated suspension, improve overall performance.

Limited to only 500 units, the special edition BMW M3 will be an extremely rare model. As of now, we don’t know if it will arrive at BMW of Springfield, but we’ll keep you updated with new information as it arrives.
