It's true that family traditions come in many shapes and forms; however, we don't believe any are as cool as the Caccavo family's. The mother, father and son trio have recently made a name for themselves due to their obsession with the BMW 5 Series. Each family member owns their very own second-generation model, creating a "family of fives" within their family of three.

The Caccavo's admiration of the 5 Series all began when father Dean was in the market for a new car during the early '90s and had a budget of $10,000. He knew he wanted an M5 and waited for a while until he found the perfect one for the right price. Once he got behind the wheel of the car, he fell in love with it and it wasn't long before his wife, DonnaRae, fell for it, too. She then decided to buy her own BMW, restricted herself to the same $10,000 budget and eventually purchased a 535is. As a youngster, Dean and DonnaRae’s son, Austin, quickly became fond of his family's E28s, and once he was old enough to drive, he knew he wanted one of his own. He decided his mom's 535is was the model for him, so he got a job, saved up money and purchased the car from her. This left DonnaRae carless, so what did she do? Went out and bought a second-generation 528e, completing the family's trio of 5 Series'.
