The brand-new 2015 BMW M4 Coupe may not seem faster than its predecessor, the E92 M3 Coupe, on paper, but its recent high-speed lap on the famed Nürburgring track in Germany proves that's far from the case. In fact, the M4 Coupe surpassed the M3 Coupe's time by 13 seconds, completing the rigorous track in 7 minutes and 52 seconds. With a lap time of 8 minutes and 5 seconds around Nürburgring, the M3 is still a speedy Beamer, but the M4 is a step above in performance.
What truly makes the M4's run on the Nürburgring such an impressive one is the fact that it was outfitted with street legal tires and contains two less cylinders than the previous M3 Coupe. However, its 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six cylinder engine does have more power and a 40-percent increase in torque compared to the M3, delivering 425 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque. The M4 also comes with an M double clutch transmission and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds, a quick pace.
