The all-new BMW Z4 replacement is on its way, and to get people talking about its upcoming debut, the brand has officially released information about the convertible's powertrain offerings. Longtime fans of the automaker will be happy to know the fresh replacement will be outfitted with a six-cylinder engine, giving the sports car the power it needs to go up against other competitor's in its segment. The addition could also encourage new fans to join BMW's fanbase, bringing new life to their convertible lineup.

Complete with six cylinders, the convertible's 3.0L turbocharged engine will exert close to 335 horsepower and 324 lb.-ft. of torque. It's being reported that it will be a part of BMW's "Efficient Dynamics" engines lineup and eventually make its way to other models in the company's roster following its inclusion in the Z4 replacement. Outside of the convertible engine reveal, rumors have also suggested Toyota will be teaming up with BMW to develop the sports car. No official statement regarding the claim has been made as of yet, but if it ends up being accurate, the Z4 successor could end up being even better than expected - something we hope is true.
